Ambassador presented credentials to the Chinese President

President Xi congratulated Dr Najeeb on his appointment and expressed his commitment to supporting the strengthening of ties between China and the Maldives. He also assured the Ambassador of his full cooperation in furthering the bilateral relationship.

At the ceremony, Dr Fazeel Najeeb conveyed the best wishes and greetings of the people of the Maldives and President Muizzu to Xi Jinping and the people of China.

The Maldives and China established bilateral relations on 14 October 1972. Dr Fazeel Najeeb is the Maldives' fifth Maldives Ambassador to China.
